The Olive Max hearing aid looks like a promising device, but isn’t available for sale yet. So consider this a preview rather than a review. Olive is a high-end brand of OTC hearing aids, which don’t look like traditional hearing aids. The first model was the crowdfunded Olive Union, which has since been replaced by the Olive SmartEar. In this post, we’ll look at the key features for the Olive Max to see what we can expect.

What to expect from the Olive Max
The Olive Max is a 3-in-1 hearing aid. In this case, that means it’s a hearing aid, earbud, and tinnitus app all in one device. Previous Olive models combined an earbud with hearing aids, but this newest addition also has features to combat tinnitus. That in itself isn’t new, but it’s not a common feature. On top of that, it gets an upgrade under the hood, too. The Olive Max promises to be more advanced, with better clarity, and a bigger dB boost.
Comparable hearing aids
The Olive Max is a special type of hearing aid, but it’s not alone. Of course, the Olive SmartEar is an alternative, but the Jabra Enhance and Sony CRE-C10 are similar models. For another type of fancy hearing aid, there’s the Lucid Hearing fio or the Eargo range.
