The review for the Go Hearing Prime hearing aid has to start with some clarification around the name. You’ll see this hearing aid listed as the Go Prime, but the company that makes this device, is called Go Hearing. And that’s why I’ll call it the Go Hearing Prime. As the name suggests, this is the company’s flagship model, in contrast to the Go Hearing Lite.
The Go Hearing Prime look familiar, and many other hearing aids indeed have a similar style. At first sight, you might mistake the Go Prime for a set of the normal earbuds you’d use to listen to music. And although you’d pop in the Go Hearing Prime just as easily as those earbuds, there’s a bit more to those devices.
That means it’s time for a review for the Go Hearing Prime. Below, I’ll take you through the key features, see how it works aside from those headlines, and list some possible downsides for the Prime before discussing alternatives and giving you a final buying recommendation.

Key features
The first key feature is that this hearing aid is rechargeable. The hearing aids themselves come in a travel case. You charge this travel case and that in turn charges the hearing aids. This gives you a pretty impressive 30 hours of use per charge.
Quite honestly, the only other key feature is the price. The Go Hearing Prime is available for less than $300.
Who is this hearing amplifier for?
The Go Prime is a low-barrier hearing aid. This means that it has a low price and doesn’t really look like a hearing aid. For a lot of first-time buyers, those are important factors. I have a feeling that the Go Prime is aimed at those buyers, too. It’s a hearing aid sold at Walmart, which makes it even easier to access.
How well does the Go Hearing Prime work?
Now, the Go Prime might not have a lot of distinguishing key features, but under the hood it has all the features we expect, including noise reduction, listening programs, and feedback cancellation. That’s all good, but the Prime really doesn’t shine anywhere. On the Go Hearing website, it’s compared with its little brother, the Prime Lite. Compared to the Lite, it has a lot more to offer, but compared to other $300 hearing aids, it doesn’t do anything extra.
As mentioned, the rechargeable battery will give you 30 hours of usage.
What’s not to like about the Go Hearing Prime?
The Go Prime hearing aid is an affordable first hearing aid for many people, and it never really pretends to be an all-round hearing aid. But there’s just too much missing here. Now, for $300 I don’t expect miracles, but the Prime is baseline all around. If that’s fine with you, there’s nothing wrong with that. Personally, I’d want more hearing aid.

Alternatives for the Go Hearing Prime
The Prime joins a growing group of affordable hearing aids that cost about $300. The MDHearing NEO is quite popular, and looks to be almost the same model – but it blends in better within a range of skin tones. Another popular hearing aid under $300 is the Neosonic B10. This last model is the best of the three, but is a classical BTE model, which might take away some of the appeal for people.
After releasing the Prime, Go Hearing has introduced a newer model: the Go Hearing Ultra. As you can imagine, it’s a bit more expensive, but offers additional features.
Should you buy the Go Hearing Prime?
It depends. I’m not usually a fan of the CIC devices, and I personally think the Go Hearing Prime falls short of a hearing aid. I was surprised, because the Go Hearing Prime comes from the same company as the Lexie – two of the best hearing aids in 2023. It turns out that their discount model is a little too discount. Now, it’s better than its little brother, it works okay, and it offers a good price. If you want this model and you understand it’s not a fully-decked hearing aid, it’s not a terrible buy.
The Go Prime is available for $299.
The care kit gives you four domes in all three sizes, 8 Wax guards, a brush, a screwdriver, and 3 blister packs of drying capsules. This care kit costs an additional $16. I also recommend you buy the dehumidifier for $10.
Yes, contact the company to discuss paying with your HSA or FSA card.
There’s a review for the Go Hearing Lite and one for the Go Hearing Ultra.
